Privacy Policy

Last updated June 27, 2026

Aeody (“Aeody”, “we”, “us”) helps you measure and improve how ready your web pages are to be cited by AI answer engines. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because that is the honest way to do it.

Information we collect

  • URLs and scores. When you use the AEO Score tool we fetch the page at the URL you submit, score it, and store the URL and its score so we can calibrate and improve our scoring rubric. We only read content that is already public on that page. We never log in to, change, or post anything on your site.
  • Email address. If you enter an email to unlock the fix list, or create an account, we store it to deliver your results and send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Account and workspace data. If you sign up, we store your workspace, the domains and pages you choose to track, and the results of the checks we run for you.
  • Payment information. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Stripe processes your card details; we do not see or store full card numbers. We store your plan, billing status, and a Stripe customer reference.
  • Usage analytics. We use privacy-respecting, page-view analytics to understand how the product is used. We do not build advertising profiles.

How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the scoring tool and the tracker.
  • To calibrate our rubric so scores stay accurate and reproducible.
  • To send your results and, if you opted in, occasional product updates.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run Aeody, and only as needed to operate the product:

  • Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and privacy-respecting analytics), and Stripe (payments).
  • Anthropic, to grade the judgment-based scoring dimensions. Page text needed for a score may be sent for that purpose.
  • As we enable them, an email delivery provider (for transactional and update emails) and AI visibility data providers (for the tracker). We will keep this list current.
  • If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Aeody and its users.

What we never do

  • We never sell or rent your personal information.
  • We never claim to see the real prompts people type into AI engines. Nobody outside the engines can, and we do not pretend otherwise.
  • We never modify, post to, or sign in to the sites you analyze. We only read public content.

Data retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. URL and score logs are retained to improve the rubric. You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time (see your choices below).

Your choices and rights

  • You can use the free score tool without an account.
  • You can unsubscribe from product emails using the link in any message.
  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us. We honor applicable privacy rights, including under the GDPR and similar laws.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls on our database, and server-side handling of secrets. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

Aeody is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
